Companies are increasingly investing in female inclusion, such as Nubank with the “Hack Her_Way” program. Now Samsung is announcing its first female president during its 2023 appointments to the company. Lee Young-heewho was vice president of the DX Division’s Global Marketing Center and has just been promoted.
The DX Division (Device eXperience) is responsible for Samsung’s mobile sector, one of the most important at the moment. Young-hee specializes in marketing and has been working in South Korea since 2007 and in this area since 2012, where she built a solid and competent career participating in several launches for the Galaxy brand.
In addition to Young-hee, 6 other executives were also promoted to presidents of Samsung. Among them are:

Samsung hopes to inspire other female workers within the company to strive for higher positions by increasingly empowering and promoting the Galaxy brand as a symbol of inclusion.
Despite everything, Samsung has not yet appointed a new president for the home appliances sector, as Lee Jae-seung resigned from his position in October this year due to personal reasons. Since then, the company’s co-CEO Han Jong-hee has overseen this department.
