12/05/2022 at 3:21 p.m. by Julius Kahl – After AMD announced the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, one question in particular is circulating in the gaming community: When will the first tests and reviews be published? The international press still has to adhere to an official test embargo, which will be lifted in a few days.
Just in time for the pre-Christmas period, hardware manufacturer AMD presented a new graphics card generation with the GPU codename RDNA3. The high-end graphics cards should – at least that’s what current leaks and the manufacturer themselves claim – can hold a candle to the competition in the form of Nvidia’s RTX 4080. At the same time, however, there are still so many unanswered questions. For example, there are no concrete details on efficiency and, above all, the absolute performance compared to the graphics card competition from Nvidia.
Radeon RX 7900 XT(X): Test embargo falls at the latest at the launch
Anyone who is currently toying with the idea of getting a new graphics card should perhaps be patient for a few more days. In fact, the international press is still subject to a test embargo, which does not allow editors to publish reviews and lavish benchmark results. Fortunately, potential buyers don’t have to wait much longer: The test embargo will fall on December 13, 2022 at the latest, because that’s when the Radeon RX 7900 XT and its bigger brother Radeon RX 7900 XTX will officially go on sale.
Of course, there will also be a comprehensive test report from PC Games Hardware that puts the new flagship graphics cards through their paces. However, it is also conceivable that there will already be leaks from various corners of the Internet in advance, which will already allow the first tendencies in the big duel against the GeForce RTX 4080. Of course, we will also keep you informed about this.
