The top graphics card from the distant past GeForce GTX 1080 Ti competed with the new GeForce RTX 4090 – 6 years difference

This time, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, the most powerful graphics card of 2016, was compared with the current flagship GeForce RTX 4090. Testing was carried out on a PC with an Intel Core i9-13900K processor and 32 GB of RAM.

Forza Horizon 5 — 43 fps (GeForce GTX 1080 Ti), 158 fps (GeForce RTX 4090).
God of War — 38 fps (GeForce GTX 1080 Ti), 124 fps (GeForce RTX 4090).
CYBERPUNK 2077 — 22 fps (GeForce GTX 1080 Ti), 88 fps (GeForce RTX 4090).
Hitman 3 — 53 fps (GeForce GTX 1080 Ti), 188 fps (GeForce RTX 4090).
Microsoft Flight Simulator — 25 fps (GeForce GTX 1080 Ti), 92 fps (GeForce RTX 4090).
Horizon Zero Dawn — 41 fps (GeForce GTX 1080 Ti), 123 fps (GeForce RTX 4090).

The conclusion is that the difference is huge. The RTX 4090 is 3-4 times faster than the GTX 1080 Ti.
