A graphics comparison by Evil West between Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 shows weaknesses in both graphics modes.
In a graphics comparison of Evil West, Digital Foundry compares the game on the current Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles.
The experts tested the action game from developer Flying Wild Hogs in the “Quality” and “Performance” modes.
Analysis found that 4K mode quality (2160p at 30fps) on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 actually measured only 1728p, which is well below what publisher Focus Home Entertainment claims. The image also lacked sharpness.
After all, the Performance mode with 1080p and 60 FPS can deliver what was promised, even if the resolution doesn’t exactly correspond to the usual standard for the given FPS. Developers usually work with 1440p here.
Furthermore, Evil West suffers from a frame pacing problem in the 30 FPS mod on consoles. Despite a stable frame rate, this causes a kind of stuttering in the game.
