CD Projekt plans to close the mobile The Witcher: Monster Slayer. This will happen as part of the reorientation of the company’s business exclusively to the audience of PC and consoles. The game was released in July 2021 on a wave of popularity Pokemon Gowhose fame resounded throughout the world. Probably, the players didn’t like hunting monsters from a darker Slavic setting so much – already on January 31, 2023, the game will be removed from App Store and Google Play, and players who have downloaded the app will no longer be able to run it after June 30th. Internal studio staff Spokko, responsible for the development of The Witcher: Monster Slayer, will be redirected to other projects – apparently, the team itself will be disbanded, and its employees will be engaged in new AAA games based on the company’s franchises. At the moment most of CD Projekt working on an add-on Phantom Liberty for Cyberpunk 2077and part of the team is preparing a reissue The Witcher 3 for PC and consoles, which is expected to release on December 14th.
