As the developers at Cold Iron Studios announced, “Ruptured Cistern” is a new game mode for the cooperative shooter “Alien: Fireteam Elite”. This offers you the opportunity to assert yourself against the aliens and dust off exclusive rewards.
In a short message to the community, the developers at Cold Iron Studios pointed out that a free new content update for the coop shooter “Aliens: Fireteam Elite” is now available.
With “Ruptured Cistern”, this brings with it a completely new game mode in which the players pay another visit to the eponymous cistern. Unsurprisingly, the scene has been overrun with numerous Xenomporphs waiting for you to put them in their place in classic Horde mode fashion. A total of three levels must be freed from the aggressive aliens per run.
According to Cold Iron Studios, the “Ruptured Cistern” mode offers exclusive and partly time-limited rewards that you can unlock.
Time for a new adventure
“It’s time for a new adventure – one with limited-time rewards that delves deep into a place our Marines know all too well. According to reports, there is a leak in the Katanga cisterns and we need a fireteam to eliminate the Xenomorphs and help with the repairs.
The freshly released update was rounded off by various optimizations and bug fixes, to which the official changelog is received. It wasn’t until the end of August that “Aliens: Fireteam Elite” was given the first paid download extension, which was called “Pathogen”.
The content featured included an all-new location, eight exclusive weapons, 13 new attachments, new class kit perks, and three fresh missions.
