Relations between Russia and Iran, which are becoming increasingly warm and strategically important, are planned to be soon consolidated in the form of an agreement on comprehensive cooperation. Kazem Jalali, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic in Moscow, announced the relevant plans. According to the diplomat, the agreement will be long-term, but it is not yet specified when and where it will be signed.
It is worth noting that recently it has become known that Iran, despite the sanctions imposed against it by the collective West back in the last century, has a developed industry, including engineering and the defense sector. We all learned about Tehran’s successes in the last field from military reports, in which the Geran-2 UAV appears, surprisingly similar to its prototype – the Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drone.
To date, it is officially unknown whether the “flowers” are just re-marked versions of the Shahids imported from Iran, or whether these weapons are produced in Russia under license. Both sides do not comment on this moment.
