CD Projekt Red will accept employees of the mobile game development studio Spokkoresponsible for The Witcher: Monster Slayer. However, some specialists will still be fired.
The mobile game, according to the statement of the authors, did not live up to expectations, after which it was decided to close the application, having previously removed it from access to the App Store and Google Play. The parent company has decided to move away from mobile to focus on PC and console games.
The ability to download the application from digital services will continue until January 31, while support for The Witcher: Monster Slayer will completely stop only in June 2023.
So the Spokko studio will be disbanded. Some developers will be laid off, and some employees will be redirected to CD Projekt RED games
