The Game Awards 2022 is very soon and inevitably, the excitement is in order. It must be said that the ceremony again promises great announcements and moreover, one of the big players in the sector has started teasing in good and due form: Capcom.
A night rich in announcements
The Game Awards 2022 is tomorrow! Or rather, in the night from Thursday to Friday live on the web: as usual, the event will revolve around a grand ceremony held (and organized) by Geoff Keighley, undoubtedly the most present animator in the industry to whom we also owe the Summer Game Fest.
As is customary, prizes will be awarded to many games depending on the category and a duel is also expected between Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok for the title of GOTY 2022. And then, the show will be punctuated by many announcements: trailers of games that we already know, reveals of other secrets and info here and there. And precisely, Capcom will be present as it should be.
The mass is said: on Twitter, Capcom says it is very excited to watch the Game Awards 2022 to see “all the incredible announcements” that are planned there. Also, the Osaka firm encourages Internet users “to make sure to watch” the ceremony. From there to think that Capcom will be there, there is only one step that the Internet has already taken.
We can then wonder which games stamped Capcom will be present: on the side of the titles already known, we can expect to a new Resident Evil 4 trailer of course, but also to release dates for Street Fighter 6 and Exoprimal which are still due out in 2023without further details.
We can also bet on the appearance of Pragmata, enigmatic game announced in 2020 and of which we know almost nothing. Finally having gameplay and information would be welcome. Likewisewe can bet on a first trailer for Dragon’s Dogma 2, a very big project by Hideaki Itsuno (the director of Devil May Cry in particular) of which we have only seen a logo.
Finally the return of disappeared sagas?
As for the real reveals, bets are off. The time for a new Mega Man seems rather plausible, while if we have no doubts about the development of Resident Evil 9, seeing it at The Game Awards 2022 still seems a little premature, with the Remake of 4 galvanizing all the attention for the moment. Some are also hoping for a Monster Hunter World 2, because after all, why not (and because the former is the biggest sale in Capcom’s history).
And if you really want to dream, then we can also talk about the much desired return of the Onimusha saga (seen in Capcom leaks from a few years ago). Cult franchises are not lacking in the company which has produced great hits throughout its career: Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Dino Crisis… so many series that we would undoubtedly like to see again soon. .
Anyway, see you tomorrow night!
