The update is valid for Arc A750 and A770 graphics cards released in October. According to the data shared on Intel Arc’s official page today, the latest version, v3959, can lead to 2.3-fold performance increases in up to 99 percent of the tests made in some games.
In tests with DirectX 9, it is possible to see performance improvements from serious performance jumps to minor increases. Especially in CS: GO, League of Legends and Starcraft 2, the performance increases are noticeably higher at both 1080p and 1440p resolutions.

According to the table, League of Legends’ performance at 1440p Ultra increased from 228fps to 346fps. Again, at the same resolution and Ultra settings, CS: GO 179 fps was obtained with the old driver, while 317 fps was obtained with the new driver. When comparing the performance of CS:GO at 1080p high settings, we see a 2.3 times increase.
It is worth remembering that these tests were done with DirectX 9. Because Intel’s graphics cards already perform very well with Vulkan and DirectX 12. In this context, an update focused on the old standard DirectX 9 is also important for many games. The reason for this is that although Microsoft has software on simulating old standards to DirectX 12, the hardware itself does this directly, providing higher performance, which can already be seen in the table.
