The release of New World Rising is connected with another gaming event: today Anno 1800 returns to Steam. As we remember, in 2019 Ubisoft decided to abandon the Steam release in favor of Epic Games Store. But recently, the company decided to expand its reach and release a number of its games in the popular store. The exact time for the return of Anno 1800 to Steam is unknown.
Meanwhile, the creators of Anno 1800 talked about their plans for 2023 the other day. The main development will be completed after the fourth season, that is, after the release of New World Rising. However, in 2023 we will have a number of cosmetic sets, the first of which will be Dragon Gardendedicated to the Lunar New Year.
The developers have planned for the spring of 2023 a major free update that will improve the quality of life. And something else big is going to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Anno series, but so far it is not known what exactly.
Ubisoft has not officially announced anything yet, but the company is already working on the concept of a new project for the series. This work is still at an early stage, and the details are not yet ready for us to tell.
