famous actor Jackie Chan took part in an event taking place in Saudi Arabia Red Sea International Film Festivalwhere he confirmed that he was negotiating about the film «Rush Hour 4».
According to Jackie, in the evening of the same day (the actor gave a speech on December 8), he had an appointment with the director of the picture to discuss filming, but Chan did not disclose the name of the director. The first three tapes were directed by the director Brett Ratnerwhose career went into decline after a series of scandals.
The original trilogy was about an unusual pair of cops who had to work together despite their differences. A disciplined Chinese law enforcement officer Li played Jackie Chan while comedian Chris Tucker embodied the role of an eccentric California cop Carter.
The first tape was released in 1998, and its sequel and triquel followed in 2001 and 2007, respectively. If Rush Hour 4 starts filming in 2023, then by the time of the premiere in 2024, Jackie Chan will already be 70 years old. Tucker by that time would be only 53 years old.
