Ganondorf is the iconic antagonist of Link in The Legend of Zelda. Also known through the demonic guise of Ganonthe formidable enemy was born first of all as a human being, who then came into possession of the Triforce of Power which thus made him the greatest threat to the peace of Hyrule.
After we find out which race Link from The Legend of Zelda belongs to, we also know what is the race of the mighty Ganondorf? As specified in detail in The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time (still considered by many fans to be the best game in The Legend of Zelda series), the main opponent of Link and Zelda belongs to the Gerudo breedfirst introduced in the masterpiece for Nintendo 64 of 1998 and then also appeared in several other successful games in the series.
The peculiar characteristic of the Gerudo breed is that it is a people made up of women onlyall predominantly thieves and warriors (but also female pirates, as seen in The Legend of Zelda Majora’s Mask). Despite their contempt for men, once every hundred years a male is born within the Gerudo tribe, destined to become their unchallenged ruler. This is exactly what happened with Ganondorf, whose thirst for power will grow more and more over time, proving to be a danger to Hyrule and all its inhabitants.
