O WhatsApp already allows you to create personalized avatars to use in the messaging app, as a multimedia resource and as a Status update. The new feature is currently rolling out to Android and iOS applicationsalready available in Portugal.
Then we share a How to create avatar on WhatsApp, guiding the reader step by step to also be able to take advantage of the new feature of the platform. After the configuration, the avatar can be used to create unique stickers, or to put in the Status.
1. Open the WhatsApp app on Android or iOS

Using an Android smartphone for this demonstration purpose, but since the function is also available for iOS (iPhone), the first step will be to update the app🇧🇷 Then, yes, we started by open it by tapping on the respective icon.
It is important to note that the latest version, with this feature, may take a few days, or even weeks, to reach the Google Play Store (Android), or the AppStore (iOS).
2. Access WhatsApp app Settings

Once the WhatsApp application is open, it is now important to access the menu / Settings section of the app🇧🇷 To do so, just tap on the three dots in the upper right corner of the application, thus appearing the menu and window that we can see above in image 2.
The drop-down menu is indicated by the 3 vertically juxtaposed dots icon, immediately to the right of the magnifying glass icon, in the upper right portion of the app’s home screen.
3. Access the Avatar menu to start the configuration

Then, as illustrated by Image 3, just tap the (new) Avatar menu. There we will find the options for creating, editing, as well as the profile picture. That’s where we should click to start configuring our 3D avatar, as soon as it’s available.
4. Create your 3D avatar to use on WhatsApp

As soon as we start creating it, the app will guide us through the various steps necessary to create a digital figure that is relatively faithful to our image. Having made the warnings, types of possible use and additional disclaimers, we move on to the configuration.
We find several menus, several sections in order to customize from body type, skin color, accessories, clothes, general style, beard, hair and other facial features. We have a relatively simple interface and lots of general customization options.

At any time, the user can edit and improve, or change any parameter he wishes. It should be noted that the degree of customization is particularly high, going down to details such as earrings and accessories, or signs and facial marks.
In summary, we really have a strong range of parameters that we can adjust to create a realistic 3D Avatar.
6. Use unique Stickers and your Avatar in WhatsApp Status

After configuring and choosing all the relevant parameters for the appearance of the 3D Avatar, the user can now use this digital “puppet” to express himself in the communications carried out through WhatsApp.
We have a vast collection of stickers generated automatically after defining the 3D Avatar, see Image 6. These can be used in any chat (group or individual) on the Meta group instant communications platform.
Finally, we can also use 3D Avatar to update WhatsApp Status whenever we want. It is, in short, a fun customization resource, with immense possibilities for creating and choosing various parameters for our digital avatar.
