The first “Avatar” film was released in cinemas around 13 years ago. The successor, “Avatar: The Way of Water”, will be available shortly. Since then, the characters have evolved, and James Cameron captured even that time in an entire manuscript.
If you look at the second “Avatar” film, you experience a big jump in time. Jake Sully and Neyteri are married with kids, so a lot has happened. What exactly did director James Cameron record in a manuscript, as Jake actor Sam Worthington recently revealed during a press conference.
“Jim realized that this story was about them being warriors and fighting battles with other clans. That gave us a good starting point to understand how to fill that gap,” Worthington said.
Avatar: The Way of Water opens in theaters on December 14, 2022.
