So, we weren’t expecting that in the least. A brand new Bayonetta game has just been announced at the Games Awards on Nintendo Switch, but it’s a prequel and above all: the very concept contrasts drastically with the previous games! Explanations.

Make way for… Bayonetta Origins!

While fans had to wait eight years for Bayonetta 3, now PlatinumGames has announced a new episode against all odds! It’s called Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon and it will be a prequel to all the games in the saga, still exclusively on Nintendo Switch. But as much to say that it will have nothing to do with the traditional beat them all of the Japanese studio.

Therefore, to say, the title will totally change its style by wanting to be an adventure and platform game, with fights of course, but relying on a distant camera and a watercolor-style artistic direction which has nothing to do with the usual Bayonettas. A surprising game that will tell the beginnings of our dear witch, then called Cereza and before she became the Bayonetta that we know. The relationship with his daughter will be one of the main plot axes while the gameplay will revolve around adventure and platform phases, with some fights on the program.

Provided you have the game, you can therefore go to the store and buy the “Old Book” now available for the sum of 4100 golden halos. This acts as a secret chapter, allowing you to play a portion of this new title.

Finally, know that Bayonetta Origins is planned for very soon: it will be released on March 17, 2023 in digital as well as in box at a price of 59.99 euros. So, seduced?
