On the occasion of The Game Awards 2022, Nintendo officially unveiled to the public Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, prequel to the Platinum Games action franchise that will tell us about the youthful adventures of the beloved Witch of Umbra. Although few have noticed, the game was actually hidden inside Bayonetta 3.
Hideki Kamiya and the developers of Platinum Games they packed an easter egg inside of Bayonetta 3 which, once discovered and unlocked, allowed access to a Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon playable teaser. To reveal it was Chad Concelmo, collaborator of Nintendo of America:
”Fun fact about this (amazing!) game: there is a playable teaser in Bayonetta 3! If you collect certain items you can unlock it. It’s a very cool easter egg that I’ve never seen done before. This reveal has been hidden all along waiting to be discovered,” reads Concelmo’s twitter below. The message does not explicitly reveal how it is possible to come across the easter egg, thus leaving the most curious players the pleasure of discovery.
Bayonetta Origins is presented as an action-RPG with an isometric-like view in which we will have to help our Witch of Umbra and her Cheshire demon to get the better of supernatural creatures. The title is expected to launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch on March 17, 2023. During the TGA 2022, Bayonetta 3 won the Best Action of the Year award.
