Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC introduced

CD Projekt RED presents the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC in a new teaser trailer. A new actor was also revealed.

CD Projekt RED has unveiled a brand new teaser trailer for Phantom Liberty, the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 spy thriller expansion, at the Game Awards 2022. The teaser features new gameplay and gameplay footage, as well as the reveal of a new cast member.

The teaser, shown at the annual awards gala, offers players a whole new look at Night City’s Dogtown, the expansion’s main location, as well as insights into gameplay and brand new expansions. The teaser also reveals new characters, most notably Solomon Reed.

Actor Idris Elba (Luther, Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, The Suicide Squad), who joins the cast of Phantom Liberty alongside Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand, plays Reed, a veteran agent in the New United States of America America who appears to be the only person players can trust to complete an impossible espionage and survival mission.

After the teaser climax, the actor appeared in a special video message aimed at audiences and gamers worldwide, commenting on the character of Reed and his role in the Phantom Liberty storyline.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be released in 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Exact release date and price are yet to be announced.
