Phantom Liberty, the first and only expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, is revealed in a new trailer that stars Idris Elba as Solomon Reed.
CD Projekt has released a second teaser trailer for the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty. The clip embedded below these lines features actor Idris Elba in the role of Solomon Reed, an FIA agent for the new United States of America.
Players are tasked with teaming up with Solmon Reed as the story progresses in Phantom Liberty and embarking on an “impossible mission of espionage and survival.”
It was previously announced that Sasha Gray is also a part of the expansion. She announced on Twitter that she will play Ash, who appears as a radio DJ on the in-game station 89.7 Growl FM.
Release date still open
The trailer for “Phantom Liberty” does not provide a precise release date, but continues to refer to the 2023 release window. Previously, CD Projekt announced that the post-launch expansion would only be developed for current-gen consoles and PC. The PS4 and Xbox One are left out due to the small hardware capacities.
Cyberpunk 2077 was heralded as one of the biggest titles of the last generation of consoles, but after several postponements it came out in a very questionable state. The launch issues have largely been resolved and CD Projekt is preparing for the next installment in the series.
The company recently announced that its next “cyberpunk” game, tentatively named “Project Orion,” will be produced at a new US-based studio called CD Projekt Red North America.
Players who have not yet played “Cyberpunk 2077” can access the complete package in the coming year. Because CD Projekt recently announced the release of a Game of the Year Edition announcedwhich includes the base game as well as the story-based expansion Phantom Liberty.
