21-year-old Kharkiv athlete Kamila Konotop, competing in the weight category up to 59 kg, won a small bronze medal at the World Weightlifting Championships, which started in the capital of Colombia, Bogotá.
In a snatch, a young Ukrainian woman was able to fix a projectile weighing 102 kg. This allowed Konotop to take third place in this exercise. In the biathlon, Camila finished in sixth position – 223 kg (102+121).
Note that Ukrainian women Maria Gangur (64 kg), Irina Dekha (81 kg), Alina Marushchak (81 kg) and Anastasia Manevskaya (87 kg) will also perform at the World Championships in Colombia.
