In a post published on the game’s official Twitter profile, a new patch of The Callisto Protocol was announced. For the Sci-Fi survival horror it is an update with some optimizations and an important news for Xbox Series X players.
This new patch will bring improvements for all console versions but ray tracing reflections are arriving on Xbox Series X, a novelty that was present on PS5 since day one. The official announcement of Striking Distance: “Today we patched all console versions of TCP with bug fixes and improvements, including enabling ray-traced reflections on Xbox Series X. We work on optimizations for all platforms daily and listen to your feedback. Thanks for your patience”.
The problems of The Callisto Protocol encountered by players would be the result of an internal technical error, according to the founder of Striking Distance Glen Schofield but the team is working hard to find a solution. At launch, the PC version proved to be the most problematic of all with many players even requesting a refund on Steam.
The Callisto Protocol has had a really rough launch. Before the negative reviews about Steam, however justified, reviews began to appear on the sites ahead of the scheduled deadlines. Subsequently a real leak of the full game, opening credits, gameplay, credits… all on Twitch when there were only a few hours left.
And what do you think? Let us know, as always, below in the comments.
