The journalists defeated the novelty: on Metacritic, Choo-Choo Charles has only 53 out of 100%. Reviewers complain about the monotony of the gameplay, the scarcity of graphics, a lifeless world, boring characters, template quests, stealth implementation and bugs.
At the same time, the Steam version of Choo-Choo Charles is getting good reviews, with a rating of 85% based on over 300 responses. Users praise the idea, declare their love for Charles and praise the work of a lone developer.
The creator himself, Gavin Eisenbeisz, in the release video attached above, spoke about the pride in the result of his work and the hope that the players of Choo-Choo Charles will also like it.
Choo-Choo Charles is available on Steam for 710 rubles. Players need to upgrade their own locomotive to destroy the bloodthirsty train Charles on spider legs and with a clown’s face, wandering around the world in search of human flesh.
