Galax has unveiled its flagship GeForce RTX 4090 Hall of Fame (HOF) graphics card. The novelty will be available in two versions: OC Lab and OC Lab Plus. The latter will offer more significant factory overclocking of the GPU.

Formally, the GeForce RTX 4090 Hall of Fame is the most powerful graphics card on the market. However, she is not the fastest. The novelty has a dual BIOS system. For the productive firmware mode, the GPU frequency is declared at 2625 MHz. This is slightly less than the ASUS ROG Strix OC or MSI Suprim Liquid models, for which GPU manufacturers indicate a frequency of 2640 MHz.
The Galax OC Lab and OC Lab Plus have a claimed “baseline” power consumption of 550W. However, when using the BIOS performance mode, the TDP value increases to 666W, which is 66W higher than the ASUS ROG Strix model. This was made possible by the fact that the GeForce RTX 4090 Hall of Fame is the only video card on the market equipped with two 12+4-pin 12VHPWR power connectors at once.
The GeForce RTX 4090 HOF OC Lab GPU runs at 30 MHz lower than the OC Lab Plus version. This is perhaps the only difference between the two options. The less overclocked version has the same power limit of 666 watts. Packages of delivery of video cards do not differ.
By the way, about the latter. The box with the accelerators contains two power adapters from four 8-pin PCIe connectors to one 12+4-pin 12VHPWR. They will come in handy for those whose power supplies do not have native power connectors of the new 12VHPWR standard and corresponding cables. It is curious, but one of the photos provided by the manufacturer shows the use of a complete power adapter and a native PSU power cable with a 12VHPWR connector.
An additional feature of the Galax GeForce RTX 4090 Hall of Fame graphics cards is a removable 4.3-inch HOF Panel III color LCD display with a resolution of 480 × 272 pixels, which is attached to the graphics cards using magnets. It receives power from the USB Type-C connector. The display shows useful information about the status of the graphics accelerator: memory temperature, GPU, fan speed, etc. In addition, it can be used to work with Galax overclocking software.
To change the BIOS mode on video cards, there is a special button located on the panel of external video connectors.
The GeForce RTX 4090 Hall of Fame cooling system includes nine heat-conducting pipes with a diameter of 8 and 6 mm, as well as three fans. The size of the two outer ones is 112 mm, the central one is 92 mm. However, it is quite obvious that most owners of these video cards will most likely prefer to dismantle the standard cooling system and use a container for liquid nitrogen instead. After all, in the end, the HOF series video cards are not intended for the average user. They are designed for extreme overclocking. And the presented novelty, even before its official announcement, has already managed to set several dozen new world performance records.
Galax did not reveal the cost of the GeForce RTX 4090 Hall of Fame. However, it is clear that it will become one of the most expensive versions of the GeForce RTX 4090 on the market. In addition, these cards are likely to be issued in a very limited edition.
