The week of December 5 was marked by the soap opera between Microsoft and Sony and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the outcome of which is uncertain. Tesla also made headlines thanks to its Semi electric truck, when Nvidia finally decided to lower the price of its GeForce RTX 4080 and 4090.

Takeover of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft: the soap opera continues
It’s common knowledge: Microsoft wants to buy Activision Blizzard, the publisher of Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Overwatch and Diablo. Except that here, this massive acquisition estimated at 69 billion dollars poses many problems for certain actors and organizations. The twist and turn soap opera is chronicled in this full recap, after the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) launched a federal antitrust lawsuit to block the deal.
Elon Musk’s Tesla Semi makes Bill Gates lie
In 2020, Bill Gates pinned Elon Musk and said it was impossible for Tesla’s future electric truck to travel a very long distance on a single charge. Two years later, the boss of SpaceX proves the opposite. A video indeed attests that the Semi was able to travel 800 km, in one go, from Fremont to San Diego with a 37-tonne trailer. Initially, 500 examples of the Semi will be produced each year in the United States.
Nvidia: its high-end graphics cards are dropping in price
Good news, the GeForce RTX 4080 and 4090 graphics cards have been the subject of a price reduction signed Nvidia. In our test of each model, their prohibitive price had been singled out by the editorial staff and categorized as a negative point. The American company has reduced their price by 70 euros for one, against 90 euros for the other.
