A new poster for the film based on the cult game Dungeons & Dragons has appeared. The film is slated for a world premiere on March 3, 2023.
Recall that the creators of the picture pleased fans with the first poster and trailer in the summer. A trailer was also released in July.
This is one of the most anticipated films of next year. There have been talks about filming the popular board game since 2013. Almost immediately, the question arose of who owns the rights to the Dungeons & Dragons brand itself. The litigation was not easily won by Warner Bros, but development on the film never began.
In 2017, the rights passed to Paramount, only then did the writing of the script begin. It has been rewritten several times, with casting beginning in 2019 before the script was approved. The film stars Chris Pine, Sophia Lillis, Hugh Grant, Michelle Rodriguez, Justin Smith and Rege Page.
Shooting started last year, they were conducted in Iceland. The film’s budget has not been disclosed.
