The strategy RPG Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord is coming to the West! Idea Factory International has announced a rough release date.
Publisher Idea Factory International has announced that the strategy role-playing game Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord will be released in spring 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) in the west. A standard (49.99 euros) and a limited edition (99.99 euros) will be available for this.
The muses mix everything up
The new part is directly connected to the story of Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force. Fang and the others meet the mysterious woman Glace, who can brainwash people with a song. With Fleur, another woman joins the group, who also has the power of the song. Both women are known as muses, so they can enhance the others with their singing or even change their abilities.
In terms of play, you can expect a tactical role-playing combat system in which you can use the terrain and various objects to your advantage. You should also strategically position yourself to increase your own dodge ability or reduce movement speed.
The official statement goes on to say: “With the introduction of the two muses, completely new combat mechanics are available to you. Harness the power of her chant to buff allies, or combine both area of effect buffs for an even more dramatic buff effect! But beware, enemies in the area can also benefit from this.”
