Epic Games announces maintenance work for Fortnite: The BR shooter is offline today, the 23.10 update is pending. On the Short message service Twitter the developers share the first details about the downtime – and at what time the servers go down. The maintenance will therefore start at the usual time at 10 a.m. Logins and joining the game are then initially no longer possible. The matchmaking system is switched off half an hour earlier. At around 9:30 a.m. you will take part in the last game for the time being. How long the Fortnite servers will remain offline today is not clear from the information.

As a rule, the downtimes in Fortnite (buy now for €16.99) are short-lived. If everything goes according to plan, the servers should return at lunchtime – and Fortnite can be played again as usual. As part of the maintenance, you will have access to the 23.10 update, which provides additional content and bug fixes for the BR shooter. Epic Games has not yet published the patch notes, including changes and innovations. However, the first bits of information about the upcoming update are already available. The patch contains, among other things, error corrections and balancing optimizations in preparation for the Placement Cup, the start of which had to be postponed to December 18th.
