After unveiling the Essential program of the PS+ formula, now PlayStation is unveiling the arrival of 22 additional “free” games for Extra & Premium subscriptions.
Two weeks after unveiling the PlayStation Plus Essential games, Sony is once again in the spotlight. The Japanese giant has just unveiled all the games that have just landed in the Extra & Premium formulas of PlayStation Plus. On the program is a total of 22 additional titles.
As always, Sony offers to relive several episodes of the same saga, and this time it is the Far Cry series that is in the spotlight. Indeed, from now on, players subscribing to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium can download three Far Cry titles. We are talking here about Far Cry 5, a game that proposes to undermine the plans of a group of fanatics, but also its apocalyptic spin-off Far Cry: New Dawn or even Far Cry Primal. For those who do not know, the latter takes place during prehistory. In other words, it is a rather original proposal.
Another saga is in the spotlight on PlayStation Plus during this month of December since, after Far Cry, Sony offers us to find three titles from the Yakuza saga. Indeed, from now on, it is possible to play “free” Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, but also Yakuza: Like a Dragon or even Judgment. Good news, note that these last two titles are offered in their PS4 version as well as in their PS5 version.
Great classics on the program (PS4/PS5 – Premium)
Finally, players subscribing to PlayStation Plus Premium, the most expensive formula of PlayStation Plus, will also be able to walk away with a total of four additional classics. We are referring here to the PlayStation 2 version of Ridge Racer 2, or Heavenly Sword, one of the PlayStation 3 exclusives, or Pinball Heroes, a PSP game. Fans of the first PlayStation can try their hand at Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus.

Who can benefit from free PlayStation Plus games?
Depending on your subscription, you will not have access to the same games. With the PlayStation Plus Essential, you are entitled to the PS Plus Collection (only on PS5) and to the titles offered each month. With the Extra, you have access to a PS4 catalog | PS5 of around 400 apps. And with Premium, you get nearly 340 retro games, streaming PS3 titles and demos.
