The second video in the ‘Constellation Questions’ series offers a Will Shen, Lead Quest Designer di Starfieldthe opportunity to reveal many unpublished details on Bethesda’s new space opera arriving in 2023 on PC, Xbox Series X / S and in the catalog of titles available ‘free’ by Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
The developer leading the team that is shaping the missions of Starfield answers some of the most recurring questions of the community and, in doing so, reopens an important window on the sci-fi dimension of the new IP of the authors of Skyrim and Fallout 4.
Thanks to Shen, for example, we discover that, during the space adventure, we will have the opportunity to return to Earth and visit Mars in a series of missions (we don’t know if related to the main campaign or not). Future members of the Constellation program, according to Shen, will call the Solar System “the old neighborhood” to remember, with a pinch of nostalgia, the first steps taken by human beings in the exploration and colonization of space. But that is not all.
Again from the hands of Bethesda’s Lead Quest Designer, we learn that the system responsible for management of random encounters and missions it will be so evolved that it will also include the interactions between individual citizens and NPCs that will populate the alien cities of Starfield, from the central hubs to the smallest settlements.
Shen also points out that the decisions of the players will profoundly influence the narrative path, so much so as to decree the life or death of some main characters. As for the relationship between our alter-ego and the numerous factions that we will meet while traveling among the starsthe Bethesda exponent explains that affiliation with one of these ‘space clans’ will not preclude access to the other factions.
