Team Subnautica released the long-awaited update 2.0available on all current platforms.
The developers have finally moved Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero to unified versions of Unity. This allowed several quality-of-life improvements, many bug fixes, and some performance improvements to Subnautica that were already available in Below Zero. And the developers have redesigned and optimized the save system.
In addition, Subnautica now features a number of basic elements that were previously only available in Below Zero, such as a large room, a glass dome, and hatches for surface entry.
In terms of bugs, around 800 have been fixed, including many issues related to base building, vehicle navigation, and piloting. With a full patch note of the update for Subnautica can be found here.
