Apple, however, is gone, but it will still be obligated.
In the summer, the European Union adopted a resolution according to which, from 2024, mobile equipment sold in the countries of this economic, and for some time now, political unification of Apple, will have to support the installation of applications from third-party stores, thereby ending the monopoly of the App Store. The decision is correct and very useful for the end user, and it was obvious that it would be repeated in other states. And now, the fact that a similar bill will be submitted to the State Duma for consideration, said the head of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia, Maksut Shadayev.
According to Shadayev, the bill will be introduced in the first quarter of the coming year. If it is accepted, then Apple will be required to allow Russian users to install applications from third-party stores. In this case, third-party stores, apparently, mean RuStore, NashStore and RuMarket, which are already the main sources of applications on Android-based smartphones from domestic companies that have fallen under the so-called sanctions.
Whether Apple will comply with the requirements of Russian law, given that the company has formally suspended its activities in Russia, is an open question. Sooner or later, you will have to return to the market, so “getting into a pose” is not in the interests of Apple.

It is worth noting that after Apple began to comply with the requirements of the “sanctions”, the Cupertino mobile technology became toxic in Russia: many applications, including banking ones, were no longer available in the App Store. So the above bill can be a serious help for the numerous owners of “iPhones” and “iPads”.
