Today From Software provided the role-playing game “Elden Ring” with another update. According to official information, patch 1.08.1 will fix minor bugs that users encountered in the Colosseum.
After the rumors persisted for months, the developers at From Software released update 1.08 for “Elden Ring” a few days ago, which included a colosseum for PvP duels, among other things.
As the Japanese studio announced, another patch for the open-world role-playing game is now available under the version name 1.08.1, with which two small errors that could occur in the Colosseum are eliminated. First, a bug was addressed “that changed the attack behavior of right-hand weapons while crouching when certain weapons were held in the left hand”.
Also fixed the issue that could prevent “the locations of other players, except for the Coliseum, from being displayed correctly on the compass and map during multiplayer sessions.”
Developers are not finished with the game yet
With the rumors of the PvP Coliseum coming true, it should come as no surprise that speculation about a possible story DLC has picked up speed again. As is well known, “Elden Ring” was one of the big winners of this year’s The Game Awards and immediately caused a stir several awards away. In the course of the whole thing, game director Hidetaka Miyazaki thanked the community for their support and at the same time pointed out that the developers are far from finished with “Elden Ring”.
Statements that Miyazaki might have used to indicate that a story expansion or similar DLC is indeed planned. Dataminers were at least found in the source code of the latest updates relevant notices in the form of new bosses and dungeons, more weapons or additional NPCs. It remains to be seen whether these will actually be part of a possible download extension until From Software and Bandai Namco Entertainment make an official announcement.
