Blaze Entertainment announces that the Evercade EXP is now available worldwide. Blaze’s new handheld retro gaming console expands on the established Evercacde cartridge ecosystem, bringing back the classic gaming experience with physical products, multicolored manuals and collectibles for a modern audience without breaking the bank on original hardware and software and offer a wonderfully uncomplicated gaming experience – just switch it on and start gaming.
The Evercade EXP offers a wealth of improvements over the previous Evercade handheld, including many hardware upgrades and a new, subtle aesthetic. With the new high-resolution IPS screen, the viewing angles have been significantly improved and the resolution has doubled. The integrated WiFi makes updating the console easier than ever. The improved specifications with more RAM, more storage and a faster chip bring the handheld on par with the TV-based console variant Evercade VS.
Most importantly, the console features a brand new mode and gameplay technique. TATE mode allows players to play vertical shooters the way they were originally intended. One button press rotates the selected game 90 degrees clockwise and displays it in vertical orientation, and the new TATE buttons on the left side of the device control the game. This is the most authentic way to enjoy great games like 1942, 1943, Mercs and more. There are 20 games on Evercade that are best played in TATE mode!
Each Evercade EXP comes with the IREM Arcade 1 cartridge collection to start your Evercade cartridge collection. Get straight into classic arcade games with 6 great arcade originals like R-Type, In The Hunt and Moon Patrol. You get a numbered box containing the cartridge and a full color manual.
In addition, each Evercade EXP has bonus content built into the device. 18 Capcom games are included with no installation, code redemption or cartridge required! 14 arcade hits and 4 home console classics are now portable to take with you, and a full color guide to the Capcom Collection is also included.
