Regarding the specifications, the new GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will have 7680 CUDA cores and 12GB of GDDR6X memory, while the GPU clock speeds are 2310MHz base and 2610MHz boost, and these are exactly the same specs as the canceled RTX 4080 12GB.
It turns out that NVIDIA did not make any changes to the specifications of the “unlaunched” RTX 4070 Ti model. Just a real rebranded RTX 4080 12GB card that was dropped from the line almost immediately after the announcement.
Referring to information from PNY, two graphic cards will be presented RTX 4070 Ti XLR8 VERTO и RTX 4070 Ti VERTO, and these are different models since the first is a top GPU with a fancier cooler that looks like a card RTX 4080 16 GB. Both designs are triple fan designs, but the latter lacks RGB lighting and is slightly thinner at three slots versus the 3.3 slot version of the RTX 4070 Ti XLR8 VERTO.
The image shows the PCB for the RTX 4070Ti based on the AD104. One 12VHPWR slot is clearly visible, the GPU and surrounding memory modules – six of which should be occupied by GDDR6X memory. The PCB is more compact than the RTX 4080 16GB and has far fewer VRM power nodes, which are now only on one side.
Perhaps PNY was actually the only company to release the full specs of their RTX 4080 12GB cards, just a day or two before NVIDIA dropped the model. It seems, XLR8 GREEN looks almost the same as the company outlined it a couple of months ago.
According to unconfirmed reports, NVIDIA is going to release the RTX 4070 Ti by January 5th. The price of such a graphics card is not yet known, but nevertheless, it should cost a little less than the canceled RTX 4080 12 GB for a suggested retail price of $ 899.
