The long-awaited Devil’s Moon live event kicked off yesterday in Hunt: Showdown. It brings new features, an exciting story and over 50 unlockable rewards, including two new legendary hunters, Blood Bonds, weapons and more. The event runs until to February 15th.
When the evil moon rises, souls trapped in the bayou seek freedom. But this is just the beginning. Players can choose a side and commit their hunters to a pact that promises different bonuses once enough Event Points are accumulated for rewards. The Inferno, a random event, periodically ignites fires on the map during the event period. Two new legendary hunters – “Ochenkov’s Widow” and the “False Saint” – appear in the bayou alongside new weapons, items and weapon charms. New challenges also bring weekly tasks, the fulfillment of which is rewarded with event points. Even more rewards await with two new Battle Pass tracks. It may be winter, but the action in the bayou is hotter than ever…

For the first time, The Inferno appears in the bayou in Hunt: Showdown, on select days and on alternate maps. The random event adds an extra layer of danger and excitement to the game as players must negotiate blazing flames to get to survive and be victorious.

Players earn event points with the new challenge system. New challenges become available each week and promise stars upon completion. These stars can be converted into event points.
Packed
Players are invited to choose a side for the event. By committing to a pact interwoven with a 15-chapter story, hunters receive various bonuses and abilities that benefit different playstyles. Selected Hunters will once again enjoy increased Event Points.
Rewards and Battle Pass
The new Battle Pass makes it possible to unlock 51 items in 51 levels, including the two new legendary hunters, two weapon charms, five weapons, seven Blood Bond prizes for a total of 1,000 Blood Bonds, ten legendary weapon skins and seven types of custom -Ammunition. Highlights include the legendary hunters “Ochenkov’s Widow” and the “False Saint” as well as new weapons: the Springfield M1892 Krag Bolt action rifle, the LeMat Mark II shotgun and the Martini-Henry IC1 rifle.
Event Store and DLC
In addition to the live event, the new DLC “Frau Perchta” will be released, including a new legendary hunter and new legendary weapons. The new Huntress Frau Perchta is available in two variants – a first for Hunt. In celebration of the holiday season, festive favorites are returning to the store, alongside a range of weapon charms.
Hunt: Showdown is available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
