Capcom announced the Resident Evil Village VR release date, the virtual reality version of the famous survivor horror, available from February 22, 2023 as a launch game for PlayStation VR2. The other good news? It’s free.
Or rather, the owners of Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition will be able to download VR mode for free and replay the entire campaign in Virtual Reality with PlayStation VR2 without having to pay anything.
Resident Evil Village VR gira in 4K, supports HDR, Eye Tracking and 3D audio, as well as taking full advantage of the Sense controls of PlayStation VR2. We tried Resident Evil Village VR at the Tokyo Game Show with decidedly positive sensations and the fact that it is one of the launch games for PlayStation VR2 is certainly a point in favor of the Capcom game, which won’t struggle to win over all the early adopters of the new viewer, offering a very high-profile horror experience.
Resident Evil Village VR could also arrive on PC, at the moment the game is confirmed only and exclusively on PlayStation VR2 but the dataminers have analyzed the source code and discovered some references to Meta Quest and other files related to a possible PSVR2 debut on PC. However, everything is silent on the part of Capcom.
