Facepunch wished all fans of the multiplayer survival simulator Rust a Happy New Year and Merry Christmas, and also announced the release of a winter-themed patch that launched the event until January 5, 2023 and brightened up the game.

Presents can spawn within a radius of around 40m from where the player is standing, and come in small, medium, or large sizes. The Advent Calendar is a new craftable item available to everyone during the Christmas event. Once placed, you can claim an in-game surprise once per day. Even around the world, gingerbread houses have mysteriously begun to appear, leading to a dungeon that smells like grandma’s pastries and is full of enemies.
