After announcing Abyss World on PC and PS5, the authors of this ambitious dark-tinged role-playing action immerse us in the atmospheres of their soulslike by publishing images that testify to the graphic goodness of the work they are carrying out on Unreal Engine 5.
The new third-person ARPG from Abyss Studio and Metagame Industries will put us in the role of a knight who escaped the destruction of his kingdom caused by a mysterious Black Tide. Our task will therefore be to explore the lands of Nornidia to restore order by hunting for the monstrous creatures resulting from this frightening calamity.
The interactive path created by the indie developers with the first in-engine images of Abyss World Apocalypse help us paint the playful, narrative and artistic framework in which we will move together exorcising the demons of Nornidia together with our intrepid alter-ego. Between one battle and another, we will have to complete a series of tasks by entering the most dangerous areas of the map to collect ‘old souls’ and acquire skills, knowledge and weapons useful for unraveling the mystery behind the black tide.
The marketing of Abyss World is expected in the course of 2023 on PC and console exclusive on PlayStation 5. In case you missed it, here you will find our latest insight into the next gen news of Unreal Engine 5.1, the latest iteration of Epic Games’ multiplatform graphics engine.
