The Xbox team has had only one really big showcase this year, with the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase in June. Since then, the Xbox team has hosted a few small streams with indie projects, but no other events have taken place.
As recently as last week, well-known gaming insider Jez Corden revealed that Microsoft plans to host its own game show in early 2023, where it will talk about exclusives. After that, there were rumors that the Xbox team was preparing a special studio for regular broadcasts, like State of Play from Playstation.
As part of the new Xbox Two podcast, prominent Xbox insider Rand al Thor said he was told by two independent sources that Microsoft was making plans for a presentation in early 2023. According to him, this information is still “unverified”, and he does not have specific details about what kind of show it will be.
As a reminder, Xbox head of marketing Aaron Greenberg recently said that Microsoft has a lot of exciting things for 2023, and players “will not have to wait too long.”
