Team Asobi would like to work on a mobile game together with an external developer. Is Astro Bot coming to smartphones?
According to new job advertisement Team Asobi is looking for a Mobile Game Producer. In it, those responsible write: “Team ASOBI is looking for an experienced producer who is able to lead the production of a new mobile title in cooperation with an external developer from start to finish.”
One of the tasks of the wanted candidate is to find the right developer for the game. So there is currently no cooperation to develop a mobile project. In addition, the work has not even started because there is talk of a development “from start to finish”.
What is the Japanese Sony studio up to? Possibly the PlayStation mascot Astro Bot should come to the smartphone. In any case, the jump ‘n’ run gameplay of the two previous offshoots would be a good choice for this.
Sony is planning several mobile releases
It has been known for a few months that Sony PlayStation wants a piece of the mobile cake. Managing Director Jim Ryan spoke of a multi-platform strategy in May: half of all new releases should be by 2025 for PC and mobile devices appear.
