All kinds of Star Wars games are needed, all kinds of Star Wars games are important. Those who profit from them, of course.
Massive Entertainment (aka Ubisoft Massive) is swamped with work: supporting The Division 2, preparing for the release of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, and also, judging by the publication regarding the specialists required by the team, is working on some new Star Wars game.
What kind of project it will be is still unknown, but the developers need testers, which means that at least the so-called pre-production stage of the novelty has clearly passed.

It is worth noting that the Star Wars games are going to be put on the conveyor and release something new in this franchise about twice a year. How fans of the series feel about this, fearing that Star Wars will be turned into uniform consumer goods, is probably not worth explaining.
