On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Final Fantasy, which falls today, December 18, 2022, Square Enix has decided to give a small gift to players anxiously awaiting Final Fantasy 16 offering them a first look at one of the moogle that they will be able to meet during their adventure in the lands of Valisthea.
What would Final Fantasy be without the Moogles? These small floating creatures they will also return in the sixteenth final fantasy, as confirmed by Square Enix with a short but highly appreciated clip that sees a Moogle partying at Clive, the protagonist of the adventure. He has white fur, small black wings and an antenna that ends in an orange “pompom”. Say hello to him by watching the clip uploaded by Square Enixwhich we have also attached at the bottom of this news for your convenience.
Moogles are tender sentient creatures recurring in the Final Fantasy saga. They first appeared in 1990’s Final Fantasy III, over the years they have acquired such fame that they have become real mascots, as well as guests of other sagas such as those of Mana and Kingdom Hearts. They were created by Koichi Ishii, who later became president of the Grezzo software house. In the initial intentions they should have represented a race like many others, but the reception from the fans was so warm as to guarantee them recurring roles in most of the chapters of the series. They usually allow players to save progress or access shops, occasionally assist in battles, and sometimes even become playable. They have a tendency to end their sentences with the word “coat”.
Speaking of Final Fantasy 16, we remind you that an exclusive PlayStation 5 timeline is expected for June 23, 2023.
