In honor of its 30th anniversary, Nagoya-based company XING has announced the “Joysound Karaoke 30TH Anniversary Ranking,” based on the list of songs performed in the years 1992 to 2022. Given the popularity of the title in Japan and in any case in the world, the queen song of this particular title is “Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis”, the opening theme of Neon Genesis Evangelion sung by Yoko Takahashi. The song not only topped the anime OST chart, but also ranked first in the overall karaoke chart.
The complete ranking includes several songs from the anime world. Not only NGE but also Slam Dunk, Doraemon, Digimon, Fullmetal Alchemist and Sailor Moon.
