Universal has released the first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. Actor Cillian Murphy will play the main role in the upcoming film – he will play the theoretical physicist Robert Oppenheimer, the creator of the nuclear bomb.
The screenplay for Oppenheimer is based on the book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin. This book won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography or Autobiography.
Nolan and his team describe their new work as a massive thriller that will “plunge viewers into the dizzying paradox of a mysterious man who risked destroying the world to save it.”
