In addition to the myriad of My Hero Academia-themed items for sale in the Fortnite shop, there are also some challenges that you can complete to get exclusive items dedicated to the anime. Here’s how to complete them all and get the MHA emoticon and decorative back.
Week 1 tasks
Retrieve the water training dummies (0/6) – Reward: 20,000 Experience Points
This is probably the most demanding challenge of those proposed with the My Hero Academia event, as you will have to go around the map to interact with six different mannequins floating in as many bodies of water. Below you will find an image of the map with the positions of the six objects indicated above, to be found even in different games. Once you get close to the objective, an icon will appear on the map to help you find it more easily.
Damage opponents with explosives (0/500) – Reward: 20,000 Experience Points
This second mission of the crossover event isn’t particularly complex, unless you decide to accumulate the 500 damage points with grenades. The quickest way to complete the challenge is to find a Snowball Launcher in a match in Team Brawl mode: the Christmas weapon’s bullets count as explosives and you just need to eliminate 5 players with this tool of death to complete the challenge .
Get the Deku Smash (0/1) – Reward: 20,000 Experience Points
This challenge is really simple, as its completion is only tied to collecting this special event item. If you want to go without fail, you can buy Deku’s Smash at one of the two vending machines that sell it: one is located just north of The Citadel, the other is instead in the north-west portion of Delirious Expanses. Alternatively, you can find the weapon in special supply crates that drop from the sky in all modes and are shaped like All Mighty.
Time in flight using a Shockwave Hammer (0/2) – Reward: 20,000 Experience Points
To complete this challenge you must accumulate time in the air using the secondary attack of the hammer, which allows you to move quickly. A trick to quickly complete the challenge consists in obtaining a Shockwave Hammer and a Deku Smash: use the hammer to launch yourself into the air and, while suspended, activate the power of the glove to make sure that all the time elapsed during the attack animation counts towards the mission.
Week 2 tasks
Eliminate an opponent while on snow or ice (0/1) – Reward: 20,000 Experience Points
This is not a very complex challenge, since all you have to do is eliminate another player in the snow-covered portion of the map. It might be a good idea to land at Bastione Brutale or Laboratori Laconici. Alternatively, you can play the Team Brawl mode hoping that the circle closes right in the area covered by ice or snow.
Destroy structures with fire (0/10) – Reward: 20,000 Experience Points
This challenge is almost immediate, as all you need to do is get a can of fireflies and throw it inside a wooden building to cause the structures to be destroyed, making you complete the mission.
Sprint for 1000 meters under the effect of Slap Juice (0/1,000) – Reward: 20,000 Experience Points
To complete this objective you must first activate the effects of the Slapstick Juice, which can be found both inside bottles with yellow liquid and in yellow berries that can be collected and eaten at various points on the map. After eating or drinking the item, start running to accumulate progress in the challenge. Repeat everything, even in different matches, until you accumulate a total of 1000 meters in running.
Visit different indicated places (0/3) – Reward: 20.000 Experience Points
There isn’t much to say, given that the completion of this challenge is linked to reaching three different points of interest with a name on the map, even in different games.
Perform an emote less than 25 meters from an opponent (0/1) – Reward: 20,000 Experience Points
If you want to play it safe, you can complete this challenge in Team Brawl mode, where it is very common to find yourself less than 25 meters away from an enemy. Approach the opponent and perform any emote in your locker to complete the mission and proceed further.
Recover health or shields (0/300) – Reward: 20,000 Experience Points
Another really simple challenge, as it revolves around recovering health and shields. All you need to do is drink small (25 points) or large (50 points) shield potions to accumulate progress and, to speed everything up, you could light a bonfire and damage yourself with fire and then let yourself be healed by its heat.
Creative Challenges (Island Code: 1917-7775-5190)
Help eliminate opponents in the Hero Training Gym (0/5) – Reward: Deku Spray
To receive the first spray, just start a game in the timed mode of My Hero Academia in the creative mode of Fortnite and perform a total of 5 assists: in a nutshell, just damage an enemy and then have a teammate eliminate it.
Get points by accumulating Points for saving in the Hero Training Gym (0/25) – Reward: All Mighty Spray
The second challenge in creative mode can also be completed by starting a private lobby, since it is enough to capture five different control points, the conquest of which awards five points.
Completing four of these challenges will earn you theDeku’s Glove emoticonwhile completing eight challenges will grant you access to the free decorative back called Cloak of the Yuei.
