Nowadays, we don’t let go of our smartphone for nothing. The reasons are many and varied and although some contacts are not exactly to go into our pockets, many others are. It is exactly to avoid this that we must activate alerts for suspicious numbers on our Samsung Galaxy and thus put an end to spam calls.
Samsung Galaxy: put an end to spam calls!
This is a function that we should really use, especially if we are tired of telephone sales. That said, as soon as we activate Caller ID and Spam protection, we can understand who is calling us, if it is a business contact.
To activate this function, we have to open the Phone app and then press the three dots to access the settings.
Then we have to click where it says Caller ID & Spam Protection.
However, in the new window we have to click where it says off to activate the function and at the bottom to block spam and scam calls.
However, there is one thing that we need to pay attention to. By activating this we can miss some important calls. From the bank, for example. So, it is best within this option to choose to block only calls from high-risk schemes. So most normal contacts will pass.
Even so, if this system is not strong enough for you, there is another one that is even more efficient and that does not even allow contacts to go into your pocket.
Among the paid, free, reliable and less reliable ones, there is one that may not have the most beautiful interface in the world. But it’s really good and above all it works so you don’t always get calls!
The App is called Devo Ouvir and is available for free on the Google Play Store, among many others.
In my view, it stands out above all for its features and ease of use.
After downloading and installing we will have to do some things in the configuration process, but the program helps. Thus, it is necessary, for example, to define this app as the one that handles call management. This is essential so that they can be filtered.
Likewise, you must also have access to notifications and the like. But as I mentioned, the program helps us to get to the right options that are found in the settings.
Once we have everything configured, we can start using the application right away. It checks every incoming call and even outgoing calls. Whenever we receive a phone call, it tells us if it’s a trusted number, neutral (which has not yet been classified), or spam. Even within SPAM there are several categories.
It’s all about a community, it’s almost Waze style.
And it’s people who help each other identify what’s wrong. If we receive a spam phone call that has not yet been identified, we can evaluate it and indicate what it is. We classify as Positive, Neutral and Negative. After this indication, we say if you are a Telemarketing Operator, Call Center, or others. Subsequently, this evaluation is submitted to a central server that will analyze and reproduce it on all smartphones that are using this App.
However, in terms of blocks and permissions, it is possible to do a lot. You can control notifications and block incoming calls from local numbers with negative ratings, numbers with negative community ratings, numbers not stored in contacts, foreign numbers or hidden numbers. It is also possible to block outgoing calls. In addition to phone calls, this application also protects SMS and MMS.
However, I would like to make a caveat. This application allows you to adjust the blocking level according to the sensitivity of the community database. We can set it to the maximum level to trust everything that comes from the community, or adjust it to the minimum level. What I recommend is that you leave it in the middle as it comes by default.
One thing I can say, this app is doing wonders for me.
