From the material of the Japanese division IGN new details of the action became known Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon studies FromSoftware.
According to game director Masaru Yamamura, the developers have introduced a multiplayer mode into the game – it is presented in the PvP-arena format, where opponents can measure the strength of their own assembled and debugged “furs”. Among the options available to players, robots include changing weapons, controlling fuel consumption, and replacing accelerators that affect acceleration.
As for the cooperative passage, its presence is not included in the plans of the studio – the developers rely on a single-player campaign with free movement and changes that occur right on the missions. It is likely that the dynamics of the game will be damaged by the need to focus on a partner.
The plot won’t continue. Armored Core Vbut tell a new story. This is likely due to the fact that the release of the previous part of the series took place ten years ago, and since then the studio has attracted new fans who are not familiar with the franchise.
Earlier, the developers emphasized that Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will not become another Souls-like game, but will remain true to its roots. The authors of the project also noted that one of the key components of their offspring will be spectacular boss fights.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is slated for release in 2023 for PC and both generations of PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
