It’s not hot news, but it should at least warm your heart, especially if you’ve played this legendary console. Here is the first PlayStation of the name as you’ve never seen it: transformed into a jacuzzi.
A PS1 to play… in the water
Some games and some consoles enter so much into the history of video games that they become symbols of it, and the least we can say is that the PS1 is one of them. Sony’s first console broke it all when it launched in 1994. The console’s many fans around the world paid homage to it in many ways, and here’s a prime example. It’s a certain kidd.gorgeous on Instagram who shares her magnificent creation with us: a fully customized Jacuzzi in the shape of a PlayStation.
Unfortunately, it is not a real jacuzzi, but a 3D animation more than successful. The artist is used to modeling decided to make a reproduction accompanied by fabulous pink LEDs and a party atmosphere that gives a real touch to the place, which seems almost real. The console is placed on the grass of the garden and while climbing stairs, access to the entrance is via the disc opening valve.
The bright interior is beautiful, and the finishing touch is the famous sound that the PlayStation makes when it turns on, which resonates when the hatch opens. Are we talking about the most legendary sound in video games? A heated debate in perspective. In any case, hats off to him, it gives me ideas on how to arrange my future home.
The PlayStation 1, one of the most memorable consoles in history
If Europe saw the first PlayStation in September 1995, the Japanese had already had it in their hands for 9 months. The console marked the minds of players, both in terms of the revolutionary graphics for the time, but above all thanks to the unforgettable titles like Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot, and many more.
The PS1 is the third best-selling console in history with more than 102 million copies worldwide, a figure that no other company claims to approach. Indeed, it is the Nintendo Switch which ranks fourth with 85 million copies sold, the first two places being reserved for… the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation 4.
It was a revolution for the time, even if the youngest will find it difficult to realize that at the time, controllers had wires attached to consoles, and storage was in the form of small cards starting at 128 KB. Anyway, I’m going to relax in my virtual jacuzzi, that’s all true.
