Daniel Alegre has served as President and Chief Operations Officer of Activision Blizzard for the longest time (almost three years) until March 31, 2023, when he will take up a new role at Yuga Labs and become Chief Executive Officer of the company that brings the world to life delighted with the Bored Ape Yacht Club Collection NFTs. Yuga Labs executives released a statement via LinkedIn welcoming Alegre as CEO in the first half of 2023. Along with the ongoing criticism of NFTs, the folks at Yuga Labs are also facing allegations against NFT social club Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). In September 2022, for example, the hacktivist group Anonymous alleged (via Cointelegraph) that the company Yuga Labs was using esoteric symbolism to support racism and pedophilia. According to other reports, the company should have made false promises to investors with BAYC and ApeCoin (via btc-echo).
