Available to print samples of various shapes and sizes.
A smart factory for the production of products using additive technologies has opened in Strogino technopark in Moscow. In total, this small enterprise has more than 200 innovative 3D printers.
“It employs more than 200 of the most advanced 3D printers. Their capacity is enough not only for the manufacture of trial batches of products, but also for mass production. To replace imported counterparts, they are already making cases for electronics and other components, ”said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital, about the smart factory.
The mayor’s office clarified that now the technopark will be able to quickly produce batches of parts needed in the food and light industries. And also in medicine and pharmaceuticals, automotive, construction, jewelry, energy and even the aerospace industry.
Even in an official statement from the mayor’s office it is indicated that the printers work on the basis of innovative additive technologies. In fact, we are talking about the usual 3D printing method: a three-dimensional product is printed layer by layer based on virtual model data. The factory allows to produce samples of various sizes and shapes.

We also recall that in May of this year, specialists from Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) developed the first 3D printer in Russia for printing in zero gravity. And in June, one of these printers was sent to the ISS – with its help, astronauts make parts for equipment.
